Frequently asked questions
Where do these dog facts come from?
The facts come from a built-in list of 100+ canine facts about dog senses, breeds, history, health and behavior. They are stored in the page itself, so they appear instantly and work without any server.
Can I use these dog photos?
Photos are loaded from the free Dog CEO API, which draws on the Stanford Dogs Dataset. They are fine for personal enjoyment, wallpapers and sharing. For commercial use, check the original dataset and API terms.
How often are new dog facts added?
The fact list is reviewed and expanded from time to time. A new random fact appears every time you click Get Another Dog, and the same fact will not show twice in a row.
Is the random dog generator free?
Yes. RandomDogPic is completely free, needs no account, and runs entirely in your browser.
Where are my favorite dogs saved?
Favorites are stored only in your own browser using local storage. Nothing is uploaded, and clearing your browser data removes them.
